National Peanut Butter Lover's Month.

November is National Peanut Butter Lover's Month.

Call me crazy, but I feel like I now have a whole month dedicated to me and my crazy shenanigans here at The Peanut Butter Lover blog. (Even though I honestly treat every month like its Peanut Butter Lover's Month!)

By now you're familiar with an excessive amount of peanut butter used on this blog.

It's only natural that there are so many recipes with peanut butter on my little corner of the web because I consume an embarrassing amount of peanut butter.

In honor of this lovely month dedicated to loving peanut butter, I made a batch of baked peanut butter oatmeal for breakfast because honestly, is there a better way to start your day then with peanut butter?

Baked Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
Directions

Mix all ingredients together and stir well. Spread in a greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes (or longer if you like it crunchy)

But why should you only have peanut butter with breakfast? Don't stop there! Keep the peanut butter loving going all day long.

    1. I was eating a banana with peanut butter today and totally thought of this comment! I've actually been slacking on my peanut butter eating lately, so that's good news to you! I'm not planning too many more peanut butter things, so you'll feel welcome here again soon! I think I'm posting oatmeal cookies or a smoothie recipe with NO peanut butter soon, just for you! I'm so excited that you still read my blog! It seriously makes me smile so big when I see your comments and that you still read! 1. Girl, I am WAY behind on everyone's posts! School is getting in the way of blogging all the time! Ugh. Anyways, so don't worry a bit about it. If you keep up with my Instagram, that's basically my blog in summary :)

I was so excited when I googled peanut butter holidays. Seriously I don't know what made me google that, but I'm so glad I did! I totally have been slacking on my peanut butter game lately, so this month is an excuse to get back on it!

  12. I was wondering if you were going to be picking one of those costumes from the other day! I love your poses :)

Great picks for peanut butter month! Even if my allergies, I have to say that peanut butter is basically the best food ever. I will be getting on the train obviously and making up at least one peanuty recipe. Oh, who are we kidding, it will most certainly be a peanuty DESSERT :P

    1. It was sort of last minute, but yes I did! It was such a fun costume!

That stinks that you have allergies. It's really a good time to have peanut allergies though because there are now SO many other options! Same here! I tried to do the whole 'eat it throughout the day' card, but in the end it's always for dessert. Dessert is a must!
