Top 10 Recipes of 2013!

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

As 2013 comes to a close, as does my first year as a blogger. (It's almost my 1 year blogiversary!) Before we get to the good stuff, I would just like to thank anyone who's read my blog whether it be on purpose or by chance. Each and every one of you makes my day!

Now that the thanks have been said, let's get down to the fun stuff. Below are the top 10 most viewed/commented recipes on my blog as of right now! These 10 recipes were your favorites from 2013!

1. Homemade Hummus- I couldn't get enough of hummus in 2013, and I found that most of you were the same way. Whether it's used to top pretzels or veggies, hummus was a vital aspect of 2013.

2. Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies (No Flour!)- Peanut Butter Cookies that can be called 'healthy'? These went viral on Pinterest (I'm still not sure how), but they assured me that I'm not the only peanut butter lover our there.

3. 65 Calorie Peanut Butter Cookies- Do these need any explaining? Any cookie that's low calorie and stuffed with peanut butter is bound to be a hit :)

4. Homemade Honey Roasted Peanut Butter- When I finally ventured out of my comfort zone and made homemade peanut butter, I was pleasantly surprised by the result! Making my own peanut butter has become a ritual in my household.

5. One Ingredient Banana Soft Serve- I eat this nearly every morning for breakfast. I may be biased, but I think banana soft serve is one of the greatest ideas from 2013. This was also my first recipe ever featured on Foodgawker. (I'm still excited over this.)

6. Low Fat Banana Bread- Let's face it, banana bread in general is pretty great. Take some of the fat and calories away, and it's super duper great.

7. Lemon Bars- My brother insisted that running a blog solely off of peanut butter recipes would not please the public. Therefore, he suggested that I make lemon bars. I'm not sure whether he was actually concerned for my blog's well being or for his own stomach, but either way, you guys loved these!

8. Healthier Chocolate Chip Cookies- My Mom openly admits to being a chocolate chip cookie addict. When I found a recipe that could be classified as 'healthier', I jumped at the chance to healthify my mom's favorite treat! Added bonus, there's no weird ingredients in these!

9. Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce (No Added Sugar!)- If you don't even like the taste of applesauce, the smell of this baking in your house will be enough to convert you.

10. Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies- Just in case you don't want to be super healthy, we established that just using whole wheat flour instead of white makes our consciences feel way better.

Wow! This post makes it evident that a lot of baking happened here on The Peanut Butter Lover this past year! I'm so blessed to be able to share my culinary adventures with you guys here on my little slice of the internet!
