Look Up.

I don't think this post needs a lot of explaining.

I saw this video for the first time last week, and I absolutely fell in love with it. It really hit me close to home, because it's so easy to get caught up in our fast paced world. I'm totally guilty of spending way too much time on my phone or texting in order to avoid any awkward situations.

It's okay to spend time on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, your phone, your blog, etc, but just don't forget to occasionally look up. You never know what you may be missing.

On an off note, I woke up completely sick this morning (I'm not really sure how these sick things happen overnight), and after a lot of laying around and mentally preparing myself for the upcoming failures I will encounter after taking my AP exams, I felt the need to tell you guys that you're awesome (or rad, but I feel like people can't take me seriously if I say rad.)

Since we're in the midst of final/intern/job search season, I felt that everyone needed a little encouraging.

Now, since you're done reading this blog post, put your phone on silent and turn off your computer. There's a whole world out there waiting for you.

  1. I saw that video the other day and it really made me think. Growing up in a world based on technology, it can be oh-so easy to get caught up in it and not appreciate the beauty of the world or real relationships. Such an important message!

Also, that encourage mint made me laugh out loud hahah. Too funny!

  2. So awesome. It's funny, because I'm all dressed and ready to to jog at the moment...while lying on my bed. Time to head out! Thank you for the continued motivation- and I hope you're feeling better!

  4. That was amazing. I don't really have words for it. Lately I've been cutting back on my internet time and going on bike rides/walks/reading/just anyhing besides wifi! And you know what? I don't miss it at all! But I have to come back sometimes to I can talk to you :) we just need to live near each other in person, seriously.
