An Interview.

Friday, May 15, 2015

I recently did an interview over here with the lovely ladies from Pubslush, so I thought I'd share with you some random facts about me that you may or may not have known about me on here for you guys!

Hi I'm Katherine, and I'm the blogger behind The Peanut Butter Lover! My blog is my little corner of the internet where I share my adventures and new recipes and talk about happy thoughts, my struggles and my journey to getting healthy. I'm an 18 year old who likes running for fun, going to new places, airports, chocolate milk, green smoothies, rainy days, taking pictures and meeting new people like you. I hope you enjoy learning a little bit more about me today! :-)

We saw you love bananas, share three links to your favorite banana recipes.

I'm not sure how I ever narrowed it down to 3 of my favorites, but here they are:

Where do you seek workout inspiration?

I honestly find workout inspiration so many different places. Lately I've found it on Instagram and other social media sites, in the words of other bloggers and from people I know in real life. At home, my mom is a huge inspiration. We're constantly motivating each other. I've been terribly busy with school lately, but she's always asking me to take a walk with her or to do a quick yoga routine. She makes it so much fun. We do a lot of YouTube workout videos together, and it doesn't even feel like we're exercising. We listen to loud music and talk while we exercise, and it's become something I look forward to. I think if you find something that gets you moving and is fun, you'll feel inspired to workout. When I'm not with my mom, I like to run a lot on my own. Music really inspires me when I run. Seriously, listening to a pump up song while running is a game changer. Music can change the whole mood of the workout. When I listen to a good playlist, I don't want to stop running until I've finished the playlist. Also, I always tell myself that a year from now, I'll wish I started today. That thought always gets me moving.

Has blogging changed you in anyway?

After connecting with people literally all around the world, I've learned a lot about myself and a lot about people. I've gotten to know quite a few other bloggers personally, and I've come to realize that everyone is essentially a gateway to another world. Each and every person is important, and they are all full of stories to tell. I always assumed blogging was a numbers game where pageviews and Instagram likes and popularity were the most important factors, but as I've grown up a bit, I've realized that it's always been the people that mattered. Just talking to people and listening to what they have to say is worth so much more than all those silly numbers. Blogging has made me look at people on and off the internet differently. I really try to look at every person I meet as a new story. Everyone has something good to offer, even if you have to look really hard for it. Blogging has really helped me look at people in a new-less judgemental perspective. Everyone has a story, and once you hear it, it's hard not to love them.

Do you plan on blogging after college? Will it change in any way?

I've been blogging since I was a freshman in high school, so it's become a really big part of who I am. As I've grown up, my blog has changed and grown with me. I really have no clue where I'll be next August much less 5 years from now, but I would love to continue blogging. Because I'm always changing and (hopefully) bettering myself and learning more about who I am, I'm almost 100% sure that my blog will change. I do know, however, that my love of peanut butter and smoothies and running and traveling probably won't be changing anytime soon!

Tell us five random facts about yourself!
  1. I know every word to nearly every song ever written by Taylor Swift, but I can also rap along to Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar. Kinda proud of this, kinda ashamed.
  2. I'm a firm believer in random dance parties and random acts of kindness.
  3. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and in an ideal world, it would be served all day.
  4. I've got a wild heart, wild curly hair and a wild desire to never do math again (It's not like I hate math or anything, but if I had the option to never do it again, I would take it.)
  5. Harry Styles is my favorite member of One Direction, and I think that his man bun is one of the best things to happen to this world.

I had so much fun doing this interview, and I hope maybe you guys learned a bit more about me here!
